On Friday 15 September 1893 The Chelmsford Chronicle reported that Billericay Football Club held their AGM on the 7th. Mr S. J. Spurling chaired the meeting and was appointed as club captain and Charles F. Spinks as his assistant.
The clubs oldest known result took place on 16 September 1893. They lost 5-0 at home to Maldon Reserves.
Town travelled to Maldon in November 1893, but were beaten 6-0. A newspaper report gave Billericay’s team that day as T.E. Appleton in goal, W. Darby and C.F. Spinks were the backs, with Wheeler, F. Bassom and J. Spinks playing as half-backs. A. Wardle, S. Heard, F. Ealaes, J. Smith and P. Jefferies were the forwards.
