The Club AGM was held in The Sun Inn on 22 May 1896 and was chaired by Club President John C Cresswell.  The secretary, Mr Jason W Rae, reported that the club ended the season with a profit of 6s 11d having made £11 0s 3d in subscriptions and spent £10 13s 11d.

 

Mr Harry Wardle was appointed as Secretary and Treasurer.  The paper also reported that a large number of players had joined the club and fixtures had been arranged.
