The Essex Football Association have the clubs formation date recorded as 1880. The first record of the club in local newspapers came in 1882.
​
The earliest known Billericay Football Club result is from 16 September 1893. Maldon Reserves return home having won 5-0.
​
In December that year Billericay beat Brentwood St Thomas Reserves 1-0. The clubs first known victory.
